Rydex RMX2 Satellite Optimised Email

Rydex rmx2 is the complete communications solution for yachts, ships and managers requiring the ultimate in functionality and flexibility. Despite its capabilities Rydex rmx2 is simple and cost effective to operate from its carefully engineered user install program and computer based training module to its sophisticated file transfer and task management system - AME.
Rydex rmx2 can use Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes or any SMTP/POP3 email client as its messaging interface and will optimize connections via a host of satellite and cellular networks such as Inmarsat, Iridium and GSM.
At its core rmx2 relies upon Rydex’s renowned communications protocol which ensures all email and data traffic is transmitted and received as quickly and efficiently as possible. All transmissions are full duplex, include break-point-restart, message streaming and compression.
Rydex rmx2 is designed as a scalable product and contains a host of features to provide commercial benefit to the yachting & shipping industry. These additional features make rmx2 the ideal solution for any yacht or ship owner or manager and include:

Interactive Mail
For additional flexibility and cost control rmx2 offers a means by which the vessel’s crew can control how they receive their email messages. Interactive Mail enables the message headers to be viewed during each transmission and decisions made whether to collect, delete or hold individual mail items.
Filtering
Rydex offers a highly flexible filtering system to prevent unnecessary or undesirable email messages reaching the ship. This allows filtering of email traffic to the vessel by user, domain, and message size. Owners and managers can be certain that the only messages they’re paying for meet the filtering rules.
LAN
Today’s yachts and ships are increasingly like floating branch offices, with many onboard email users. Rydex rmx2 supports Local Area Networks (LAN) on the vessel allowing incoming email messages and address book updates to be sent directly to the recipient’ s computer and mail items to flow freely between onboard workstations.
